About PadelStays
PadelStays is an independent index of hotels with padel courts on site. We don't take bookings and we don't hold prices. Where we have found a way to book, the listing links to the hotel's own website or a booking provider so you can check availability there.
How listings get in
A property is listed when we found evidence it has padel courts on the property. Courts a short drive away don't count. Every listing has at least one source confirming the courts, and every page shows which source and how much weight it carries. This page explains what those labels mean, including where they are weak.
Court details such as the number of courts, indoor or outdoor, coaching and guest access are shown only where a source states them. A blank means we have not read it anywhere, not that the hotel lacks it.
How confident we are
Confidence describes the evidence, not the hotel. A five-star resort supported only by a directory listing is still low.
High confidence
836 properties · 45%
A human read the property's own page and it states the facility.
The strongest evidence available short of standing on the court. Where the operator’s page also gives a court count, indoor/outdoor split or coaching, those fields come from the same read.
Medium confidence
588 properties · 32%
A directory listed it and an automated fetch of the property's own website found padel mentioned.
Two independent sources agreeing, one of them the operator. In the audit this tier held up 10 out of 10.
Low confidence
441 properties · 24%
Only a third-party directory supports it. Treat as a lead, not a fact.
Treat as a lead, not a fact — worth a message to the hotel before you book on the strength of it. Roughly 80% held up under audit.
What the tiers are actually worth
A label is a promise, so it should be measured rather than asserted. In August 2026 a stratified sample of 40 records was checked by hand against the properties’ own sites:
- Medium held up 10 out of 10. No failures in the sample.
- Low ran at roughly 80%. Split by sub-tier: 9 of 10 for records that have an operator site, 16 of 20 for those that do not.
The failures came in two shapes, and the second is the one to watch:
- Claims with no padel found anywhere — a directory row that was simply wrong.
- Padel that exists near the property rather than on it. No automated check catches this, because the hotel’s own page may legitimately mention a court down the road. Only reading the page carefully does.
That second failure mode is why the tiers exist at all, and why we would rather show you a hedged label than a confident one we cannot support.
Sources: confirmed and read-but-silent
Each hotel page lists its sources under two separate headings. Padel confirmed by holds pages that state the courts. Read, but silent holds pages a person or script read and that say nothing about padel. The two used to be printed together, which let a page we had read and found empty look like a confirmation; they are now kept apart, and a URL cannot appear in both. A silent page is a source we checked, not evidence for the claim, and it is different from the hotel lacking the facility.
Operator links are found by search and accepted by a script that rejects aggregators, booking platforms and white-label subdomains — then every accepted batch is read by hand, because roughly one in twenty slips through. The pattern that survives automation is the reseller vanity domain: a page that looks like the hotel’s own site and is not, identifiable only from small print in the footer. Those go on a denylist so the same URL cannot come back.
Where this data is still weak
Stating the gaps is part of the method, not an apology for it.
- 178 listings are little more than a name. They come from a directory that publishes no website, photo or court count.
- Some records name a region where a town belongs — “Andalusia” instead of the actual town — because the source publishes location only at region level. Those show a region-centre position on the map until each is resolved individually.
- Court details are often blank rather than false. Where coaching, racket rental or guest access is not confirmed, the page says so instead of guessing.
- Imported records have no star rating or facilities list, because the directories do not publish them.
Booking links
Booking links appear only where we have recorded one for a property. They are plain links to the provider, and we earn nothing when you book through them. Nothing but the evidence we hold affects which hotels appear or how they are ordered, and the dataset page publishes the counts with their denominators.
Corrections and suggestions
Corrections are welcome and are the fastest way this gets better — particularly “the courts are not at the hotel”, “this closed” and a hotel we are missing. Emailcorrections@padelstayguide.com with the hotel name and the page URL.
